From 14 August, besides using your username and password or DigiD, you can also log in with another electronic ID (eID) on our website.
The login options are being expanded. If you want to log in with DigiD but don’t have one yet, then go to www.digid.nl to apply for your DigiD. At the end of this year, the username and password login option will get 2-factor authentication. Before this happens, a notification will appear on the My Environment.
Do you live abroad? Besides with a username and password, you can also log in with DigiD or another electronic identity document (eID). We have listed here how this works. If you already have a DigiD or other eID, then you don’t have to do anything.
In addition to username and password, you have been able to log in with eRecognition for quite some time. You can read all about it on the page about eRecognition. Do you work with an administrative office? Find out what you need to arrange on the page for administrative offices. At the end of this year, the username and password login option will get 2-factor authentication. Before this happens, a notification will appear on the My Environment.
From 1 July 2023, the Digital Government Act (Wdo) will apply. This act ensures that citizens and businesses can log in securely with (semi-)government authorities. The act applies to us, too. It is also important once we switch to the new rules for pensions. Logging in with username and password with 2-factor verification or with DigiD, eID or eRecognition is then mandatory.
